Move this, Democrats
Bobby Eberle tells us why Democrats in Congress are so reluctant to criticize the nutbuckets at MoveOn.org:
"As Gen. David Petraeus gave his testimony on Capitol Hill regarding the progress in Iraq, the left wing fringe group MoveOn.org ran a full page ad in the New York Times which accused the general of 'cooking the books for the White House.' Leading Democrats joined in, with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid saying, 'He's made a number of statements over the years that have not proven to be factual.' MoveOn.org and these Democrats are banking so heavily on failure in Iraq to deliver them more ballot success that they are now calling an honorable military man a liar before he even spoke a word.
"When given a chance to repudiate the MoveOn.org ad, the Democrats have refused. As reported by the Washington Times, 'Capitol Hill Democrats rejected a call for votes in both chambers to condemn the attack newspaper ad, run by MoveOn.org, saying Republicans are trying to take attention off what they call the president's failed Iraq policy.'
"Failed Iraq policy? The general just gave a report saying the troop surge is working and that America can soon move to reduce troop levels. Despite this, the Democrats are so fearful of losing support from their core constituents that they would rather embrace the claims of an angry fringe group and bash an honorable military man." [Emphasis mine]
