Une question ...

A growing gaggle of famed Hollywood types are lining up -- and putting their names on petitions -- to protest Roman Polanski's detention in Switzerland.

For those who've been living in a cave:

Back in 1973, Polanski plied a 13-year-old girl with drugs and alcohol; he had vaginal and anal sex with her; the girl in question told a court of law that the sex was "non-consensual"; and Polanski agreed in open court that he would answer for his crime of having sex with an underage girl. Then he fled to Europe ...

I could go on and on detailing the, well, details of the U.S.'s case against one Roman Polanski (a confirmed pervert). Instead, I'll ask an important question of the artsy-fartsy types who think Ol' Roman didn't do nothing wrong:

If Roman Polanksi was a Catholic priest --- and NOT an award-wining/famed movie-director --- who was wanted on a thirty-year-old child-rape warrant, who among you would still be defending him?

Hmmmmmmmm?!
